The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the emirate’s healthcare regulator. It has announced that birth certificates for newborns can now be issued digitally through the Abu Dhabi Government Services platform. “TAMM,” as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts.

TAMM’s latest digital service, in addition to the other services available on the platform, is the issuance of digital birth certificates.

Following the birth of their child, parents of newborns will receive a communication from the healthcare facility. They will not, however, be informed of the registration and login procedures until later.

They will be directed to submit the required documents and pay the required fees in order to obtain the certificate.

Anyone who requires supplementary certificates for past birth dates granted by any of the emirate’s hospitals can use online service.

ABU DHABI CONCLUDING ON DIGITAL BIRTH CERTIFICATES

Previously, birth certificates were issued at specific offices located throughout Abu Dhabi’s healthcare facilities.

It was also necessary for parents or legal guardians to be present in order to process all of the necessary documents. However, the new digital birth certificate process is about to change that.
